State of Massachusetts Storekeeper III in Worcester, Massachusetts

Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital (WRCH) operated by the Department of Mental Health (DMH) is seeking an experienced and organized professional to ensure receivables, storage, and distribution of material, tools, equipment, and products are properly maintained at WRCH. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, inventory control and oversight, proper administration of purchase orders and requisitions for forms, supplies, equipment, and stock replenishment items. Please Note:This is a full-time, 40 hour position. The schedule is 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The days off will be Saturday and Sunday. /_Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):_/ * Receives materials, equipment, and supplies ordered for WRCH and maintains records and inventory. * Ensures purchase orders are received for accuracy, specifications, and amounts requested; notifies supervisor and/or the Business Office of any discrepancies. * Issues and delivers items to various departments and units throughout WRCH. * Confirms supplies are delivered to appropriate departments or units; records and reports all deliveries * Ensures stock replenishment items are received and managed by the supply department and added to the inventory database. * Records deliveries and all relevant purchase order information to include partial shipments. * Assists with unloading and loading delivery vehicles and trucks. * Processes inventory documents and correspondence; Anticipates upcoming needs and requirements. * Prepares documents for requisitioning standard and non-standard materials. * Processes expenditures and prepares excess property material and/or stock items for shipment or disposal. * Follows all sanitation and safety standards in compliance with all regulatory and hospital guidelines. * Provides exceptional customer support by assisting staff, vendors, and other personnel regarding. /_Required Qualifications:_/ * Demonstrated proficiency with the English language (speaking, reading, and writing). * Familiarity with the methods and procedures used for the security of equipment and supplies. * Understanding of the safety practices and procedures followed in storekeeping. * Knowledge of the principles and methods of inventory control of supplies and equipment including standard recordkeeping techniques, procedures used in storekeeping and the receipt, storage, issuance, and delivery of varied stock items. /_Preferred Qualifications_//:/ * Basic computerized inventory control and inventory record keeping principles and practices. * Skilled in common units of weights and measures used in stores activities; General business arithmetic. * Solid workload management and problem-solving skills; capacity to balance assignments. * Self-starter with strong organization skills; ability to seek out, identify and take advantage of opportunities with minimal supervision. * Strong interpersonal skills with experience establishing rapport and building relationships with staff and vendors in a hospital setting. * Talent for multitasking and meeting deadlines in a timely and organized manner. * Proven written and oral communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word. * Given the population served, bilingual or multilingual fluency. /_About Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital (WRCH):_/ Located on over 100 acres in Worcester, Massachusetts, Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital (WRCH) is part of an integrated network of effective, efficient, and culturally competent mental health services.
