As a Senior Customer Service Representative , you'll compassionately deliver an exceptional experience to between 50 to 70 callers per day, always remembering that there is a real person on the other end of the phone who is looking for help, guidance, and support. You'll also provide support to your team members by serving as a resource or subject matter expert. Both of these are opportunities for you to identify and exceed our customer expectations by committing to and building strong relationships internally and externally. At the end, you’ll know you performed with integrity and delivered the best customer service experience making all your customers and team members feel better because they talked to you.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8 hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00- 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 8403 and 8401 Fall, West Hills, CA.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interact with customers to gather support data to ensure invoice accuracy and also work through specific billing discrepancies

  • Provide input to policies, systems, methods and procedures for the effective management and control of the premium billing function

  • Educate customers regarding the availability of receiving invoices and remitting payments through online applications

  • Monitor outstanding balances and take appropriate actions to ensure clients pay as billed

  • Manage the preparation of invoices and complete reconciliation of billing with accounts receivables

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

  • 1+ years of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems using a phone and computer

  • 1+ years of medical billing experience

  • Experience with Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate multiple programs and learn new and complex computer system applications

  • Ability to work a 40 hours/week within the operating hours of the site

  • Must live within 50 miles of West Hills, CA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Collections experience

Soft Skill:

  • Ability to multi-task and to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Reside within 50 miles of West Hills, CA

  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)

  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
