The KeyW Corporation Linux Applications Administrator in Washington, United States
KeyW has an immediate need for a Linux Applications Support Administrator to support our mission critical customer in Washingtion, Dc. Qualified candidates must possess a Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph.
As member of the Application Support team the individual is responsible for providing support to applications, application systems, external data flow, and related infrastructure.Ensuring continual operations are stable, at peak performance and application health.Responding to and troubleshooting issues that arise or escalating as necessary.
This also includes performing manual application tasks, software deployments and working with the user community.
Selected candidate will get hands on experience with Linux, Application servers such as JBOSS, databases such as Oracle in addition to learning all the various mission critical applications.
Essential Job Functions - Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes
Execute weekly and monthly operations and maintenance
Gather additional information on tickets submitted for application issues
Work closely with other team members to expand knowledge and understanding of data flow between applications Assist with application deployments
Monitor, troubleshoot and understand external partner connections
Work as part of a team but also being able work independently to resolve issues
Write and maintain documentation that relates to process and procedures used as part of performing regular tasks - Role supports coverage until 6:30pm.
Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation to support after-hours/weekend issues as needed
A Bachelors and at least 8 to 12 years of experience in basic Linux Systems Administration
Desired: Experience with LINUX/UNIX command line
Ability to write and/or debug shell scripts
Active Top Secret Clearance, SCI Eligibility and willing to sit for poly
