Commonwealth Financial Network Advisor Movement Associate in Waltham, Massachusetts

Does a fast-paced, process-oriented environment sound like your thing? Is your attention to detail razor sharp? Can you multitask and keep up with several different workflows? As an advisor movement associate, you will play a vital role within Commonwealth as you support financial advisors with transitioning their books of business.

Our Advisor Movement team works closely with a variety of operational departments within the firm, including Business Transitions, Licensing, Compensation, Advisory Fees, Compliance, and Practice Management. You will be responsible for assisting our advisors with business transitions, as well as processing advisor ID changes and terminations.

Key responsibilities

  • Updating financial advisor information on accounts held through our clearing firm, as well as sponsor information using proprietary systems

  • Ensuring that all accounts are updated to properly reflect advisor relationships and information

  • Communicating verbal and written instructions to our advisor force and internal departments regarding advisor IDs, effective dates, and paperwork requirements

  • Providing clear and concise instruction to the various business partners of Commonwealth

  • Maintaining and improving our procedures for updating information for more than 200 direct sponsor firms

  • Leading the account- and advisor-pruning process

  • Maintaining, reviewing, and updating all existing Advisor Movement-related workflows

  • Continuously participating in professional development and strengthening subject matter knowledge

  • Providing indispensable service to all members of the Commonwealth organization, including the Advisor Movement and New Accounts teams and our advisors

Additional skills and knowledge

  • SIE and FINRA Series 7 securities registration preferred

  • One to two years of financial operations experience preferred
