The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for directly managing a newly-formed team of sellers who focus exclusively on securing net-new business within the Automotive industry. This team is responsible for hunting within a named account list.This leader will help set the roadmap for how the team will strategically sell Zebra's entire product portfolio into this market. This role will be expected to develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts and leverage those relationships to Zebra’s advantage.This hands-on leader will be setting operational objectives and sales plans / strategy among budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.

This remote role can be based anywhere in the US, however the preference is for the new hire to be based in the Central region. Travel post-COVID is to be expected.

  • Business and Financial Impact - Manages sales and support resources directly or indirectly; responsible for revenue, margins and departmental expenses

  • Relative Size and Scope - Sustained very high quota and results over multiple years for the business; individual or team managed has a large impact on a Business unit

  • Types of Projects - Large complex deals or very large volume of moderate deals

  • Strategic Impact for Zebra - High in near and mid-term


  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  2. 12 + years of applicable B2B sales experience, specifically business development / hunting and securing net-new business

  3. Current / previous people management experience (preferably 3-5 years)

  4. Proven success selling technology-related hardware, software, and/or solutions

  5. Must reside in the US with the ability to travel post-COVID.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Located in the Central region/time zone strongly preferred

  • Direct success selling technology into the Automotive industry with an understanding of their workflows a strong differentiator

  • Experience selling a broad product portfolio strongly desired

  • Proven success with effectively building, developing, leading and retaining high performing sales teams

  • Demonstrated ability to influence, communicate with and grow C-level relationships with customers and internal leadership/business units

  • Must be comfortable with change and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
