Cvent Senior Associate/Associate, Event Planner in United States

Senior Associate/Associate, Event Planner position is a role that involves collaboration with multiple parties to program manage and execute events hosted by Cvent, both internal programs and customer conferences.

This role will also include alignment with our broader Meetings and Events function, which includes event marketing, event technology, and team operations.

This candidate will be closely aligned with our hosted top tier events, like Cvent CONNECT and the Cvent Travel Summit, with a specific emphasis on supporting the exhibitors and sponsors at these events.

The successful candidate for this position must have proven ability to assemble and coordinate resources, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

In addition, a successful candidate has experience negotiating with internal and external groups, can propose new and creative ideas, possesses highly effective communication skills, and is able to build constructive and effective relationships with internal stakeholders, as well as external partners.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Support a high volume of events annually (both internal & external, as well as virtual and in-person) & help support meeting and event logistics including (but not limited to):

  • Working hand in hand with Cvent Sponsors & Exhibitors to ensure satisfaction & ROI at our annual Cvent CONNECT and Cvent Travel Summit conferences

  • Support collection and execution of all on-site Sponsor & Exhibitor deliverables, to include onsite branding review, company page creation, & general onsite support

  • Assist with management of all on-site Expo deliverables, to include floor plan management, graphic approval, and general support

  • Work closely with Event Marketing to ensure communications and personas are correctly identified and messaged to

  • Assist with the coordination & execution of internal company events (i.e., sales team happy hours, Sales Kickoffs, Executive retreats)

  • Coordinate event technology logistics, including registration, attendee tracking, reporting, onsite registration and nametag management, and pre/post-event evaluations

  • Coordinate and monitor event timelines and ensure deadlines are met.

What You Need for This Position:

  • Ideally be in the greater Washington DC area

  • Experience with Cvent Platform – and/or Cvent Certification is a plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Office (Outlook & Excel experience required)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

  • 1-3+ years of corporate internship, prior event planning or work experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Creative thinker, detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, with strong project management skills

  • Self-motivated individual that is able to take direction and efficiently work alone or as part of a team

  • Experience working cross-functionally

  • Customer & Management facing experience a plus
