020 Companies is partnering with Dell to hire remote Field Sales Representatives who are experts in consumer sales and can help develop new business within the world of K12

About the Job

This full-time opportunity will support K12 schools and districts. Representative will work directly with the K12 Dell Strategic Account Managers with a focus on uncovering graduation coordinators, marketing placements for graduating seniors, additional school contacts, and BYOD opportunities. This will be accomplished through prospecting and qualifying key decision makers.

A successful Field Sales Representative will understand the importance of a creative mindset and will engage key influencers’ support. Your unique ability to actively promote Dell’s offers and promotional campaigns will shape the outcome of your success, as well as grow the 2020 and Dell brands.

Key functions of your role as a Field Sales Representative:

  • Source and validate contacts within an assigned market

  • Uncover program opportunities within accounts to increase personal purchase revenue

  • Research new account acquisition opportunities

  • Uncover unique, creative marketing solutions for K12 Space (Graduation and BYOD)

  • Partner with internal Dell Strategic Account Managers to source contacts within a determined account set and push personal purchase sales

  • Work with key decision makers on campuses to promote Education Purchase Program (EPP) opportunities and increase Dell presence on campuses

  • Report weekly on KPIs and key inputs, learnings, next steps, etc.

    The ideal candidate will:

  • Deliver Director-level presentations and briefings

  • Measure and track the accounts' business performance

  • Provide weekly insight and reporting based off of account data analysis

  • Re-prioritize focus based on account trajectory, growth, or decline

  • Navigate complex networks on campus between key decision makers

  • Work with account support resources to effectively channel and resolve customer and segment partner escalations

  • Have a strong drive for results, communication skills, business acumen, and strategic agility

  • Have cold calling or tele-sales experience

  • Familiar with CRM interface (SharePoint, SalesLoft, Salesforce)

  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Drive sales productivity through high quality, end-to-end direct sales

  • Schedule and participate in direct sales events

  • Build and maintain industry vertical affiliate distribution relationships

  • Effectively assess and communicate on-site needs such as marketing material and promotional collateral, etc.

  • Educate customers and department heads while making product recommendations

  • Meet or exceed personal sales productivity goals and key metrics on a quarterly basis

  • Generate enterprise leads through initial contact and follow up

  • Accurately document and report sales, schedules, activities and best practices

  • Collect customer feedback and provide sales/marketing channel insight and recommendations

  • Manage, develop, and train Sales Representatives

  • Motivate team to perform at optimal levels that help to reach goals of the specific client

Performance Measurements:

  • Prospect presentation and sales goals

  • Enterprise prospect lead generation targets

  • Daily/Weekly activity reporting

  • Client Feedback


  • Associates Degree required; Bachelor-s Degree preferred

  • 3+ years previous B2B selling experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to stage a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and connects with customer needs

  • Strong analytical skills and customer service orientation

  • Strong multi-tasking skills, time management and attention to detail

  • Ability to perform independently in an unstructured work environment

  • Must have and maintain reliable transportation and state-required minimum liability automobile insurance coverage

  • Ability to travel to customer and event locations

  • Vehicle capable of transporting small marketing event set-up materials
