dLocal Risk Manager in Malta

What?s the opportunity?

You will report to the Board of Directors of the Company and will focus on ensuring that the Company has a properly functioning Risk Management framework.

What will I be doing?

  • Ensuring that the current and future risk profile of the business is in line with the Risk Appetite approved by the Board of Directors

  • Taking ownership of the Institution?s Business Risk Assessment process

  • Designing and implementing risk management processes and tools to assess and manage risks

  • Assessment of Risks and implementing and monitoring proactive risk management policies and procedures

  • Monitoring and reporting risks and compliance gaps in relation to internal and external regulations

  • Manage the Fraud Monitoring process and forward relevant information on fraud cases to the management and business partners

What skills do I need?

  • The position is predominantly based in Malta, with opportunity for short travel (+/- two weeks per year) outside Malta

  • Highly motivated leader and team player

  • Education: Bachelor?s degree in business, banking, finance, or mathematics supplemented by training in risk management and /or compliance.

  • Language: Fluent English speaker, other relevant languages are a bonus

  • Background: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in payments / financial services industry

  • Approved: The candidate needs to be already approved by the MFSA (Malta regulator) or equivalent for a similar role in another financial / credit institution or payments company.
