What?s the opportunity?
You will report to the Board of Directors of the Company and will focus on ensuring that the Company has a properly functioning Risk Management framework.
What will I be doing?
Ensuring that the current and future risk profile of the business is in line with the Risk Appetite approved by the Board of Directors
Taking ownership of the Institution?s Business Risk Assessment process
Designing and implementing risk management processes and tools to assess and manage risks
Assessment of Risks and implementing and monitoring proactive risk management policies and procedures
Monitoring and reporting risks and compliance gaps in relation to internal and external regulations
Manage the Fraud Monitoring process and forward relevant information on fraud cases to the management and business partners
What skills do I need?
The position is predominantly based in Malta, with opportunity for short travel (+/- two weeks per year) outside Malta
Highly motivated leader and team player
Education: Bachelor?s degree in business, banking, finance, or mathematics supplemented by training in risk management and /or compliance.
Language: Fluent English speaker, other relevant languages are a bonus
Background: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in payments / financial services industry
Approved: The candidate needs to be already approved by the MFSA (Malta regulator) or equivalent for a similar role in another financial / credit institution or payments company.
