RECRUITMENT ADVISOR

Vancouver and Vancouver Island

As a critical member of the recruitment process, you will be focused on delivering an exceptional candidate experience; thinking about how we not only attract, but also engage and communicate with individuals who are considering a career with us. You will work closely with a recruitment coordinator as part of a regional team and report to the Manager, Talent Strategies. This is a pivotal position and with your knowledge of the company and the teams you support; and your excellent capacity to truly understand fit; you will expertly manage end-to-end recruitment for your portfolio.

Some of your responsibilities include:

  • Being the first point of contact in regard to external recruitment requests, including creating captivating external ad text,

  • Building strong relationships with our internal stakeholders and helping to guide them to ‘best in practice’ to continually improve the recruitment process,

  • Reviewing all external applicants in iCims, creating an excellent candidate experience through timely and directed feedback,

  • Research, development and implementation of new recruitment strategies for targeted and timely recruitment,

  • Sourcing external, passive candidates and providing insight into careers at BC Ferries,

Complimenting these skills, you bring some experience with multi-disciplinary recruitment within a unionized environment, a strong capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently, and deliver timely reports to client group and senior leadership, and an ability to keep up to date on recruitment and candidate communities and develop a strong grasp on the marine industry.

Finally, if you have 2+ years in a large, geographically dispersed operation and some formal post secondary education in Human Resources, Business or a related field; that would support your candidacy.
