The Electrical Support Manager provides leadership, schedules, coordination and oversight of the performance of the Process Controls team. The leadership position will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring all aspects of the PC group including safety/OSHA regulations, internal customer service, continuing improvement, efficiency and training.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from an Accredited College or University with a minimum of 5+ years' of management experience in a manufacturing environment. They must have hands-on maintenance experience preferably in process controls. The ability to drive accountability within the team and work a flexible schedule is a must.
Will lead Process Controls in the performance of their respective daily duties
Will maintain departmental staffing to follow plant production schedules
Will set and enforce Performance Pay goals and criteria
Will manage and maintain attendance
Will manage SAP work order backlogs
Will enforce all Phifer rules according to the handbook and progressive disciplinary procedures Specifically all Safety and Electrical Safety rules
Will prioritize work for Process Controls Project Leaders
Will manage skill assessments and on-going training of all Process Controls employees
Will manage and maintain ongoing ARC-Flash studies per NEC requirements
Will plan and support the installation of process equipment modifications including the management of schedules and costs, track equipment downtime and occurrence frequency, and develop preventative/predictive programs to improve performance
Will create metric boards in each department to measure time to complete repairs, effectiveness of repairs, customer satisfaction, department costs and other metrics deemed necessary to evaluate the performance of the Support Group
Will perform root cause analysis of recurring problems and identify permanent solutions to eliminate failures
Will respond to prioritized production problems in a timely manner
Will implement start of shift meetings and daily or weekly department walkthroughs
Will focus on continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and identify and implement new ideas
Will maintain and improve Phifer's predictive maintenance program
Will assist in the creation of employee Personal Development Plans (PDP) in Process Controls and Electrical Maintenance
Will perform all duties safely and lead entire electrical team to perform all duties safely

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering from an Accredited College or University
Required 5+ years' of management experience in a manufacturing environment
Required 5+ years' of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
