The Evergreen Packaging Turlock Carton Converting Facility is located in Turlock, California, within an hour of the California Napa wine country and in close proximity to the city of San Francisco . Opened in 1957 and employing 130 team members, the facility prints and die cuts refrigerated gable top cartons for a variety of national and regional brands supplying retail groceries and schools throughout the western US and Canada.

Purpose of the job:
This position is responsible for the hourly team members’ payroll ensuring that they are compensated timely and accurately. This position also monitors all pending accounts payable transactions for accuracy and is responsible for the correctness of the Rollstock and corrugated inventories. In addition, this position backs-up the Facility Controller and the Data Billing Clerk on a portion of their duties.
Performs payroll and time entry duties on a weekly basis to ensure that hourly team members are paid accurately and in a timely manner.
Processes payroll maintenance on a weekly basis.
Maintains accurate and detailed account of all vacations and California Paid Sick Leave days earned and taken.
Monitor all accounts payable transactions hitting the facility.
Resolve any issues with blocked invoices, determining if the issue is with the GR or IR.
Process all check requests for No-PO items.
Prepare the monthly AP accrual listing for goods and services received but not yet in SAP.
Posting of Other Plant Product and Beverage Spout receipts and sales for Data Billing Clerk.
Assist in the preparation of all month-end account reconciliations.
Assist in the processing of customer credits.
Manage the quarterly Rollstock physical inventory including the balancing and reconciliation.
Keep accurate records of Rollstock receipts, consumption and adjustments to ensure that write-offs are minimized.
Perform the month-end corrugated inventory analysis and backflush verification.
Processes month-end reports and journal entries, and assists others in Accounting with month-end tasks as needed.
Familiarity with SQF Food Safety system
Education and/or Experience Required at Entry:
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree, a four-year degree in Accounting is preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years in a working in Accounting or Finance
Skills, Abilities, Special Licenses or Certificate:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Excellent organizational skills,
Flexibility to work with many projects at one time,
Able to meet deadlines,
SAP knowledge a must,
Good reconciliation skills,
Good problem solving skills
Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands:
Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, squat 8 to 10 hours a day

Must be able to wear all necessary safety equipment
