What does a great Project Specialist do?

The Client Implementation Project Specialist (IPS) is an integral member of the Fiserv Digital Implementation Team. As a part of the Digital Implementation team, this individual will implement a volume of projects while leveraging their abilities to collaborate, coordinate and implement CardValet and CardHub products in a timely manner. A successful candidate is able to work independently, and as a member of a team, enjoying fast-paced, problem solving environment.

The Card Services business at Fiserv provides complete debit, credit and ATM payment services to financial institutions as well as Accel®, a premier payments network. Our products, services and strategies allow our clients to maximize revenue, increase customer acquisition, improve retention, reduce expense, minimize risk and increase share of wallet.

As a Project Specialist, you can look forward to :

  • Act as primary project contact for clients and internal groups.

  • Coordinates activities and task among project teams, other internal departments and client or vendor.

  • Ensuring requirements for projects align to operational standards.

  • Interacting with product as required.

  • Takes projects from original concept through final implementation working with internal resources and external customers.

  • Provide consultation to the digital provider before, during and after implementation, including the review of best practices required for the efficient and effective use of the product.

  • Manage multiple tasks with other internal groups to ensure project completion in accordance with requirements required for CardValet and CardHub support.

  • Lead multiple projects

  • Research product issues or problems propose product changes, updates, and procedures.

  • Communicate progress and any potential or active issues to project team and manager for awareness and/or resolution.

  • Develop and maintain professional client/digital provider relationships and manage expectations with respect to live dates and other key timelines.

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Support all related project tracking methods and systems to ensure accurate project information is available and is reported on time.

  • Maintain project artifacts throughout the life of the project.

  • Conducts product closure activities to formalize and communicate post implementation results.

  • Provide occasional after hour support of client implementations.

  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration :

  • High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.

  • Previous client services or relationship management experience.

  • Previous financial industry, implementation experience preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in an implementation capacity or environment.

  • Good project management knowledge including the ability to effectively manage and prioritize projects, issues and tasks.

  • Previous financial services industry, implementations, or installations experience highly desired.

  • Previous client services/relationships experience and project management experience.

  • Proficient computer skills including MS-Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, OneNote and SharePoint).

  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong customer services skills with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of clients and internal staff.

  • Strong sense of accountability and follow through, effective problem-solving skills as well as a commitment to positive solutions and the client experience.

  • Team player with the ability to work independently.

  • Ability to provide after-hours support for client implementations.

  • Excellent customer services skills.

  • Independent self-starter that can interact with all levels of business processes.

  • Experience communicating with all levels of clients and associates.

  • Solid sense of accountability and follow through, effective analytical skills.

  • Dedication to positive solutions and the client experience.

  • Recent experience in a client facing projects

Preferred Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Experience implementing Mobile Banking Apps, Apple/Google Wallets, etc.
