The Clinical Products and Solutions Team creates, configures, launches, and runs externally facing digital products, platforms, solutions, experiences, and touchpoints for clinical trial participants including patients, investigators and study site staff.

Our solutions focus on solving customer problems and creating excellent user experience by collaborating with internal and external partners and leveraging agile development methodologies. We deliver solutions that impact all aspects of Clinical Trials including site operations, recruitment, enrolling, site initiation, study conduct and closeout.

Role Summary

The Senior Manager Squad Lead will manage an agile development squad and act as an individual contributor on a variety of technologies in support of building Clinical Solutions. Teams will be cross discipline and include front end developers, back end developers, database developer, business analyst, scrum master/project manager and testers. Team will always be a mix of employees both local in Greece and located around the world, with additional support from contract teams globally.

This team will take a product focused agile delivery approach to delivering a wide range of software solutions. Some solutions will need to follow Good Clinical Practices (GCP) rigor in documentation and testing. The team will be responsible for estimates, sprint planning, development, documentation, management of the testing process, and quality releases to our end users in production.

Management duties will include managing colleagues objectives, assignments, developing appropriate training plans, managing expectations and performance. As a senior technical resource, the manager will also be able to answer questions, guide technical discussions and advise on technical issues for the team.

In addition to being a manager, the Squad Lead will also have individual contributor responsibilities including design, development, documentation and release management for products the team is working on.


  • Manage an agile development squad with multiple different software development disciplines

  • Provide local technical leadership to the Greece team on a variety of technical programs including making design decisions, and resolving technical issues

  • Work with the global team in estimating software development activities including budgetary estimates, time estimates, and sprint planning.

  • Oversee software development activities within the team in support of agile project delivery ensuring compliance with Pfizer's quality standards and our established software development life cycle

  • Partner closely with Pfizer Digital Client Partners, Product Owners, Architects, and other functions in GPD, WRD, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on the definition, design, technical build, and run of our experiences in the clinical setting.


  • Minimum 5 years of expertise in product development or delivery disciplines.

  • Bachelor's degree in information management, computer science, engineering or technology management preferred with 6+ years related field and proven experience with emphasis on software, IT service development and maintenance.

  • 7+ years of significant experience in Business Technology industry of monitoring SW engineering teams.

  • Responsible for the overall conception, design, and implementation of advanced IT solutions Experience with Agile development & leading Agile teams.

  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle management.

  • Experience with software project delivery concepts including Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean. Formal Scrum / Lean / Agile qualifications a bonus but demonstrable knowledge and experience are equally valued.


  • Consulting experience in managing multiple projects and resources.
