JPMorgan Chase Business Systems Analyst I in Tempe, Arizona

The Business Systems Analyst (BA) I is responsible for the implementation and coordination of processes designed to mitigate fraud, minimize inbound call volume and reduce fraud losses. The Business Analyst will ensure accuracy of process flow documentation, approvals for enhancements are documented and deadlines set by the business are met. The Business Analyst will work with key stakeholders to scope changes and update process documentation.

As part of this role, the BA will utilize analytical skills to identify operational process control gaps and develop interim and long term controls as needed. The BA will collaborate with Fraud Policy, Risk Management, Fraud Vendor Management, Business Analytics and Fraud Operations to ensure processes are running in an optimal manner.

Responsibilities include:

  • Establish financial benefits of solutions that were identified by others or self-identified.

  • Assist with the identification and prioritization of processing issues and improvement opportunities, based on size and value.

  • Help establish the necessary audits and controls to maximize process quality and efficiency.

  • Provide subject matter expertise and related support for prioritized projects and initiatives impacting the business area.

  • Work with internal, external stakeholders and third party vendors to coordinate end-to-end process delivery.

  • Assist directly with the delivery of key operational processes.

  • Ensure that requirements are effectively written and documented so that functionality is designed and delivered in a consistent and accurate manner.

  • Work under limited supervision with high motivation, strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Make decisions that fall within the limits of existing processes and procedures.

  • Track and document all tasks appropriately using established team methods.

  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance and the Line of Business to ensure policy/procedure accurately addresses business and legal requirements.

  • Able to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility and adaptability.

  • Other Duties as assigned .



  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 2+ years of business analysis experience or operational experience within fraud call center / operations.

  • Highly proficient in use of MS Office (Excel/other reporting tools, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel and Word).

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to build relationships with various teams across lines of business and communicate with senior management.

  • Proven results and experience with achieving project goals.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and to work independently.

  • Ability to audit reports/processes, proactively find solutions and maintain/improve quality.

  • Commitment to delivering to high quality work.

  • Creative self-starter with strong initiative, ability to take ownership and work independently as well as with a team
