The EMEA Global Product and Software (GPS) Recruiting Team is focused on identifying and engaging the best diverse talent for our engineering teams in London.

Recruiting is a core strategic driver of Facebook’s success. We are looking for a Recruiting Lead to help redefine the way we recruit as we move into the next evolution of Facebook. The Recruiting Lead will be responsible for defining and executing the talent acquisition strategy and execution for Android talent across Facebook’s international sites.

This new position will be best suited to a bold and inclusive leader with experience in Sourcing & Recruiting at scale. The ability to build and manage a large team, collaborate in a fast-paced business across multiple teams & leaders, and deliver talent to complex engineering pipelines are critical.

Our GPS org includes GEN SWE (Product Generalist, Systems Generalist, Systems Specialist), Specialized SWE (iOS, Android, Front End, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence), Marketing (Product Marketing, Insights & Analytics, FB+, Tech & Innovation), Analytics (Data Science, Data Engineering, Growth Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Core Data Science), Design (Product Design, Content Strategy, Research), Leadership (Product & SWE), and Product Management ( PM and TPM). These functions are growing in London in support of our mission to “give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together”. Key partners for the Recruiting Manager will include GPS Recruiting Leads & Managers, business stakeholders, Employer Brand & Events Team (POP), Regional counterparts, Recruiting Insights & Reporting, and Diversity & Inclusion Leaders.

Required Skills:

  1. Facilitate and lead key initiatives and projects with recruiting team, stakeholders and hiring partners

  2. Provide mentorship, guidance and career development to members of the recruiting team

  3. Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with management and key cross-functional stakeholders internally (e.g. Legal, Finance, PR, Growth, Facilities, HR, etc.)

  4. Compile & analyze data and metrics to support business decisions and plans as necessary

  5. Define, design and implement recruiting programs and search engagements for a variety of technical roles. This includes understanding and mapping the talent landscape, internal calibration and referrals, and matching those data points with the external talent supply

  6. Partner with Facebook hiring managers to develop a detailed profile of target candidates with data-driven advice on the range of logical possibilities. Skillfully support weighing the anticipated and immediate challenges of the targeted role, company/group strategic objectives, and corresponding opportunities to productively explore more diverse perspectives and tradeoffs

  7. Capture and maintain accurate market, client and candidate information on our knowledge management systems so as to both facilitate the search process and our overarching Market Intelligence initiatives

  8. Leverage search and problem-solving expertise on a variety of Facebook Global Recruiting initiatives

  9. Become a contributing member of the Recruitment Leadership Team that effectively embodies and promotes the culture and values of Facebook, and lead the team to do the same. Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Extensive recruiting leadership experience within a corporate environment managing multiple levels and teams

  2. Proven experience managing recruiters, sourcers and building high-performing tech teams

  3. Strong interpersonal communication skills and experience working with matrixed teams

  4. Experience partnering with teams and clients, including management

  5. Experience using talent market insights and data to influence decisions within the leadership groups and cross-functional teams

  6. Demonstrated track record of building working relationships with leaders and cross-functional partners

  7. Experience in partnerships across a variety of functions to build on as well as create candidate experiences that align with Facebook’s values and mission
