MetLife Tax Accountant in St.Louis, Missouri

Location: Hybrid- St. Louis, Missouri

Role Value Proposition

This position is responsible for timely filing of federal and state tax returns for a variety of entities including corporations and partnerships. Calculates GAAP income tax provisions utilizing provision software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares federal, state, and local income tax returns for U.S. partnerships and corporations

  • Prepares GAAP income tax provisions and disclosures to meet financial reporting deadlines

  • Utilize software and systems to improve quality of work process and increase efficiency

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an applicable field of expertise


  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail is critical
