We're up for the challenge. Are you?

The position

By joining our team in Technology, Digital & Innovation you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be part of a long-lived autonomous team that values diversity and psychological safety, with a strong focus on continuous learning.

  • Build advanced software solutions in close collaboration with the various business areas across the organisation.

  • Rely on well-established development practices, including Git, semantic versioning, unit testing, browser testing, Github actions and code linting.

  • Create applications and websites with a focus on accessibility, semantic HTML and modern CSS, using TypeScript or JavaScript, and libraries/frameworks such as React, NodeJS, NextJS or the-next-big-thing.

  • Work closely with UX/UI designers and other developers in your team.

  • Be part of an active software development community with more than 2000 members across the company.

Some qualities are essential for Equinor. You identify with our values, open, collaborative, courageous and caring, which guide our decisions and help us succeed and grow. You make safety your priority and contribute to our zero-harm culture. For this position, we are also looking for:

  • Master's or bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent. Relevant experience may compensate for a lack of formal education.

  • A team player who can give and receive feedback on a daily basis, collaborate in pair programming sessions and contribute to establishing best practices and common guidelines.

  • An in-depth understanding of the entire web development process from design to deployment.

  • Ability to translate design prototypes into responsive, performant and engaging user experiences.

  • Great communication skills, eagerness to learn, to share knowledge and develop.
