Description
Robert Half Technology is looking for a Database Administrator who has proven experience solving complicated problems. The Database Administrator will be located in Smyrna, Tennessee and is a short-term temporary opportunity.
Your responsibilities in this role
Minimize false alarms by appropriately configuring database monitoring utilities
Improve performance with the most effective solution, such as hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes
Install, configure, and maintain all relational database instances across development, staging, and production environments
Verify that the design and execution of database server topology, configuration, and maintenance fulfill SLA goals
Provide guidance on database design, tuning options, and other possible issues
Solve database service outages as they happen during hours, after hours, and on weekends
Establish the baseline for system performance, recognize deviation, and suggest and implement improvements to slow running queries
Requirements
Experience building and maintaining documentation
Experience in production environments and willingness to be on-call
Solid grasp of relational database management systems
Storage and server hardware experience a plus
Solid understanding of Salesforce Administration
Experience with project management
Data Analytics experience preferred
Knowledge of Salesforce Implementations
Deep understanding of CRM
5+ years of database experience
Prior experience adjusting queries to enhance performance
