Social & Scientific Systems (S-3) Project Director (Juvenile & Family Residential Management Unit) in Silver Spring, Maryland

Under the supervision of the President, this position will oversee all tasks under the ICE Juvenile and Family Residential Management Unit (JFRMU) Monitoring and Compliance contract and will serve as the main point of contact for the government. This position also contributes the the growth of the corporate qualifications and development of new business in the monitoring and compliance area.

Essential Duties

  • Provide program management support to JFRMU

  • Develop and maintain subject matter expert pool in related disciplines

  • Ensure all inspection activities are completed accurately and on time

  • Oversee delivery of training and technical assistance, to include supporting an annual, National training program

  • Draft or review drafts of high level stakeholder communication

  • Prepare and present internal and external reports and briefings

  • Ensure quality assurance and client satisfaction

  • Oversee rapid response to emergencies or urgent needs

  • Oversee the tracking and follow up all inspection findings

  • Oversee all staff and consultants assigned to include recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling and disciplining as appropriate

  • Monitor and control contract expenditures keeping within Danya and DHS guidelines

  • Support the development and growth of area capabilities to include business development activities

  • Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree (Master's degree preferred) in a field related to organizational development, management, public administration, project management, criminal justice, social work, psychology, business, or a similar appropriate discipline from an accredited university.

Demonstration of project management support services with large, high risk, sensitive projects and/or division-level management experience.

10+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in quality assurance, performance management, compliance or inspections programs and risk management in either the public or private sectors.

Program/project management certification a plus.

Experience in the management of publicly funded programs targeting juveniles or other social services settings is preferred. Demonstrated work experience managing a Federally-sponsored compliance/quality assurance program is preferred.
