In this role, you have the opportunity to

Play a key role in a fast-growing Philips venture, disrupt a billion dollar industry and touch millions of lives by developing a unique medical device solution. Your challenge will be to build, lead and grow the Chinese sales organization, in a challenging phase of aggressive growth. This role offers the unique opportunity to be an entrepreneur, to be a leader in a startup (under the umbrella of a larger Health Tech organization), to co-build the business and culture from the beginning, leveraging innovative technology, and build it out to become an established, substantial, profitable business.

You are responsible for

  • Achieving sales goals, establishing and growing the EP business in the China market by successfully acquiring new clients and opening new centers, with a primary focus on the designated area

  • Establish distributor network and drive, manage, motivate their performance of all distributor

  • Developing annual sales plans for sales team that reflect market trends and opportunities identified in the designated areas

  • Leading, motivating, and managing the sales team, and to develop the business and selling skills of the team

  • Identifying and supporting strategic sales initiatives

  • Supporting all clinical support and product training field-based activities at clinical sites, as well as generating and developing sales leads and opportunities for the company

  • Maintaining an established rapport with all key accounts and will act as the local expert to support the customer’s needs, extending the KOLs networking and engaging their influence and support

  • Driving procedural adoption by ensuring that customers receive the necessary support in order to enroll, treat, and follow patients in a manner consistent with any clinical protocols in place

  • Assisting and supporting marketing efforts and implementing strategies and work with marketing to attend tradeshows and congresses

You are a part of

Philips EPD Solutions, a recently acquired venture with ambitious plans for growth, developing a disruptive technology, which will improve the efficiency and efficacy of life-saving cardiac ablation procedures treating among others atrial fibrillation. Over 33 million people worldwide suffer from atrial fibrillation, its management costing $26 billion per year in the US alone. Currently, up to half of all cardiac ablation procedures need to be repeated due to incomplete ablation. EPD’s technology has the potential to address the key unmet need of real-time therapy assessment, which is one of the more significant limitations of the current standard of care. We aim to help to improve outcomes for millions of people and help maintain the rapidly rising cost of managing the disease. Having obtained CE mark in 2018, we are preparing for a commercial product launch in Europe, US and other territories and are seeking regulatory approvals around the world.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Science (Life, Engineering, Biomedical, Medical) or business degree (preferably MBA)

  • 5+years of experience in leading commercial and clinical teams, while overseeing a successful sales performance within the industry for invasive cardiovascular medical devices in Greater China

  • Significant knowledge of cardiac electrophysiology and the electrophysiology market place

  • Excellent understanding of sales techniques and customer service principles and ability to teach and assist others to apply

  • A thorough understanding of management principles and the ability to select, develop and manage sales, clinical and technical support teams

  • Ability to develop and maintain positive long term relationships with the teams, customers and KOLs

  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure in an aggressive market, in order to achieve and exceed targets

  • Excellent communication skills in English
