The Manager, Analytics Implementation leads a team responsible for implementing measurement infrastructure for our client’s Global Marketing Analytics team.
Working closely with the Sr. Manager, Analytics Technology & Operations this individual will ensure the right measurement stack is in place to support the various needs of our client’s global business.
This role is expected to split their time between individual contribution and management of a team of developers focused on:
1) Implementation and customization of data collection processes
2) Collaboration with IT, vendors, and agencies to enable end-to-end marketing measurement solutions
3) Development of technical system documentation
4) Providing data collection technology stack gap analysis and recommendations
5) Development of A/B tests as part of overarching optimization program.
Provides measurement infrastructure and process gap analysis and recommendations. Conducts research on state of the art Marketing Analytics technology.
Recommends new processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency of data collection and platform integration.
Works closely with Sr. Manager Analytics Technology & Operations to transform business requirements into an actionable product roadmap taking into consideration changes in technology, browser security changes, and privacy laws
Leads initiatives focused on implementation, customization, maintenance of data collection processes and platforms.
Develops and executes processes to ensure measurement is correctly implemented and maintained, tags / pixels are up to date, and overall platform is optimized to meet the needs of business.
Directs reports and vendors in execution of product road map ensuring strategic objectives are met and solutions are future-proofed.
Recruit, train and manage analysts, working along side them on various Analytics Implementation initiatives. Train and instruct direct reports on technology best practices and methods.
Recommends educational training opportunities to ensure right mix of technical skill sets. Direct reports and prioritize initiatives on a daily basis to ensure alignment with overarching team goals
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related course of study required. Related Master’s Degree a plus
5+ years working in analytics, including experience working with tag management systems implementing advertising and tracking pixels
3+ years digital analytics development experience
1+ year managing a team of analysts / developers
Additional Preferred Skills: Google Analytics / Firebase tagging, Tealium implementation experience, VWO A/B testing development, Experience developing on Drupal (highly preferred).
Knowledge of Google Big Query, Node.js, CSS, Python, Domo, machine learning concepts a plus
Excellent communications skills – must be able to explain complex technology solutions in ways that are understandable and actionable to vendors and marketing program owners, at Sr Manager levels.
Must also be able to clearly articulate both strategic direction, and tactical actions to Senior Manager Levels, IT team, and marketing stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical ability. Must be able to clearly work with marketing program owners to determine business needs and requirements and then translate that into technical requirements for direct reports and vendors.
Ability to set team priorities and guide direct reports based on high-level direction of Sr, Manager Analytics Technology and Operations.
