KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Engineering to join our Digital Nexus Technology organization.


  • Act as product owner, primarily responsible for all aspects of Splunk platform from system development, implementation of new features, onboarding of new applications, creation of dashboards and running Splunk center of excellence

  • Accountable for project planning, scheduling, status reporting and project budgets; establish and analyze staffing requirements within guidelines and implementing projects consistent with long-range IT plans and installation standards

  • Develop and execute a platform roadmap for existing platforms including technology upgrades, maintenance, and issue resolution

  • Consult with functional management in the analysis of short- and long-range business requirements and recommend innovations which anticipate the future impact of changing business requirements, hardware and software on the client area(s) applications and systems

  • Identify the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of business problems and apply multiple technical solutions to estimate the financial impact of these solutions and other alternatives


  • Minimum five years of experience in managing and supporting in large scale engineering and operational roles with at least three years of experience managing and engineering log analytics platform such as Splunk, Azure Sentinel, and Data dog

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university

  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams focused on building high scale, cloud native SaaS application, which is growing daily in scope; experience building cloud native platforms and applications in an agile manner using DevOps principles such as CI/CD, and build/test/release automation

  • Strong understanding of various infrastructure and data security processes, procedures, approaches, tools and design patterns; CISSP, CCSP, AWS/Azure certifications preferred

  • Excellent verbal/written communication, collaboration, analytical and presentation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and teamwork; passionate about building and fostering engineering best practices and processes which improve quality and productivity of the team

  • U.S. Citizenship required
