Position Title: Assistant Controller
Location: Assembly Drive, Rockford, IL
Reporting To: Executive Director, Finance
Responsible For (Staff): Yes
This is a hands-on finance role, reporting to the Executive Director of Finance and responsible for the supervision and directing of the Cost team. Responsible for various analyses, tracking and monitoring of data associated with internal and external reporting requirements. While this role will support all site divisions in understanding and improving financial performance, there will be a strong focus on the company's Clinical division.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise the Cost group to insure accurate costing of jobs and maintain the cost system
Validate the accuracy of inventory stock and maintain reporting integrity
Support the timely and accurate financial statement completion for both group reporting and internal management reporting
Support the site team by performing financial justification calculations for capital expenditures to include P&L and cash flow phasing along with ROI
Assist in the annual budget preparation
Assist in the annual audit and other outside request, as needed
Enhance, develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures that will improve the overall operations and effectiveness of the organization
Perform special studies to analyze complex financial accounting issues for financial planning and control
Review and report weekly and monthly management information within prescribed timescales
Identify, investigate and explain unexpected results contained in management information
Other ad hoc duties required by the business
This position may require extra hours and/or weekend work.
Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
Attendance to work is an essential function of this position
Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
