Rewards Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Credit Accounting team as a Manager. This role leads the accounting, reporting and governance processes for the customer rewards liability. Driving enhancements to this critical accounting estimate will provide a unique opportunity for this new team member to make an immediate and significant impact on the organization. Partnering closely with our finance and line of business partners will be critical to coordinate and deliver key results, project initiatives and documentation. In addition, the manager will need to actively engage in our dynamic business environment to ensure consistent process execution.

Detailed activities and responsibilities include:

  • Managing the rewards liability governance process for the Credit Accounting team while enhancing risk and judgment transparency,

  • Maintaining Credit Accounting’s role as the second line of defense, providing effective challenge to our methodology, assumptions, and judgments,

  • Engaging directly with the line of business on establishing a deep understanding of our rewards programs and process to become a subject matter expert,

  • Manage the rewards accounting and reporting process within the Credit Accounting team, focused on controls and operational excellence,

  • Managing the team to elevate associate performance, develop associates, create a positive experience and build and maintain a high performing team,

  • Leveraging new and existing technologies to enhance reporting and analytics,

  • Tracking and executing process improvement activities to reduce risk

  • Monitoring the design and operational effectiveness of the control environment with respect to SOX and regulatory requirements, and

  • Supporting ongoing projects on behalf of Credit Accounting.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or military experience

  • At least 5+ years of accounting, finance or audit experience

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Public accounting experience

  • Financial Services and/or Credit Accounting experience

  • CPA designation

  • Excellent project managerial and interpersonal skills

  • At least 1 year of people management experience
