Robert Half Financial Analyst in Richmond, Virginia
Description Candidates that have a finance background and possess outstanding communication skills, may qualify for this Financial Analyst position via Robert Half. An established firm is seeking a qualified applicant to join their growing team. Job duties include conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. This Financial Analyst role, which is located in the Richmond, Virginia, is a permanent employment opportunity. How you will make an impact
Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives on creating financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, event tracking and execution, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, and strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
The ideal candidate should be a highly flexible individual who is adept at managing expectations and comfortable with handling large amounts of information
Enable successful Business Intelligence (BI) to deliver valuable foresight and decision support
Understand and be able to explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
Collaborate with the Accounting team on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Look over performance to date while assessing potential opportunities and risks
Work closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
Compile and monitor forecasting reports
Support Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P& L forecasting
Propel monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions necessary
Keep track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations and enabling business partners to handle their resources Requirements - Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

Excellent oral and written communication skills
Foundational knowledge in budgeting
Financial analysis experience
Strong familiarity with forecasting
Microsoft Excel experience
Data Analysis experience highly desired
Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience favored)
Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system
Skill with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
