Eaton Corporation Transactional Accounting Manager in Queretaro, Mexico
Eaton’s Corporate division is currently seeking a Transactional Accounting Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Queretaro Office.
The Transactional Accounting Manager is responsible to provides regional leadership to the Ordet to Cashh (OTC), Purchase to Pay and End to End Project Manager teams in the Queretaro Center who serve Mexico, Puerto RIco, Costa RIca and Dominican Republic operations and its corresponding legal entities. The incumbent is responsible to drive efficiency, leverage the capabilities of the systems utilized in these spaces, and maintain the highest levels of internal control and governance. This position will be responsible for benchmarking activities and developing the strategy to drive the function to achieve top quartile results for applicable results and customer satisfaction.
The incumbent will also work closely with the Global Process Leaders (GPL), Shared Services leaders and other key COEs across the sectors, functions, and regions to govern, formulate and manage all process and system related changes.
This position is responsible for driving continuous improvement and efficiencies in overall operations performance at the GFSS (Global FInancial Services and Systems) Queretaro, understanding and applying the Eaton Business System and its tools, particularly the Continuous Improvement Framework and LEAN tools.
Some activities related with the position will be:
Indirect Ensures that global PTP/OTC processes, procedures, and system usage are implemented, maintained, and improved as necessary to drive efficiency and global standardization. Maintains strong relationships with global partners (Concur and Markview).
Builds organizational capability across the OTC, PTP and ETE teams aligned with GPLs that can successfully execute both the current process requirements and the future strategic direction.
Establishes and reviews applicable PTP/OTC and ETE related metrics regularly to measure performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensures that processes are compliant with all Eaton Financial policies and meet all US GAAP and Statutory reporting requirements. Ensures sub-ledger to general ledger relationships are maintained and are in balance (i.e. APPO).
Develops regional strategy and aligns to global strategy for the processes and leads benchmarking activities to achieve top quartile results for applicable results and customer satisfaction. Identifies opportunities to further leverage and utilize the capabilities of the GFSS Queretaro team to centralize work.
Executes in the region the global initiatiaves that are cascaded down. Ensure they are aligned to local statutory requirements and laws.
Ensures sustainability of the functions by documeting the activities perfromed by the teams via Leader Standard Work, Standard Operation Procedures,etc.
Supports all regiional training requirements related to the related process.
Responsible of End to End program for the Region.
Leads the development and implementation of the Strategic Planning Process in alignment with the Eaton Business System (EBS).
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent.
Requires minimum of +10 year of experience.
Effective communication across levels
Excellent knowledge of Mexican statutory reporting requirements essential; sound understanding of Tax regulations
Strong experience of transactional accounting work (OTC and PTP)
Excellent communication skills
Strong Leadership to administrate big groups
Knowledge of data processing in respect of financial systems and multiple ERP systems, particularly Oracle & SAP
Proven project management experience and be able to leverage resources across the organization
Exposure to US GAAP / MEX GAAP reporting requirements, Sarbanes Oxley; excellent understanding and experience of multiple legal entity consolidation requirements
