Job Description:

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for providing HR helpdesk support in Global Mobility Operations to Symantec’s International locations/regions.

Principal Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for documenting and responding to general employee questions providing information and mobility counsel to employees/managers on established HR processes and tools including benefits, compensation, payroll, HR Services operations, and relevant HR events etc.

  • Managing and maintaining all data, ensuring that this is safe and passed on to the relevant departments and vendor

  • Liaising with senior management on various assignment correspondences; including HR policy issues and immigration

  • Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

  • Workday entries/changes within agreed SLAs and as per the Quality standards.

  • Liaising with global HR functions for data collation/additional info to complete task at hand.

  • Perform various ad-hoc data-cleansing tasks and other HR functions as assigned.

  • Interface with other functional groups in support of employee/manager questions.

  • Work to deliver process and customer service improvements in areas outside of own area of operation with guidance and supervision.

  • Responsible for intake and handoff of escalations or investigations.

Minimum Requirements For This Position

  • Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent experience HR coursework preferred.

  • Minimum 3-5 years functional HR experience.

  • Working in shifts - 24x5 operations on rotational basis.

  • Strong interpersonal, written/verbal communication.

  • Basic/Working knowledge of HR & Global Mobility laws, regulations, programs, best practices and philosophies

  • Experience of providing guidance to managers and employees on employee relations’ issues.

  • Knowledge of software applications necessary to process documents, term notices, employee data information and analysis tools (MS Office, Mobility Tools, Workday etc.).

  • Experience of working in a global organization having peers/colleagues spread across the globe and being part of a larger “Human Resources” department will be very valuable.
