Actalent Medical Assistant in Port Chester, New York

Description:

  • Perform and records patient's chief complaints, med history, screening tests, vital signs, vision, hearing, EKG, and Spiro for patients of pediatric and adolescent age groups.

  • Assists providers with exams, diagnostic and therapeutic tests.

  • Must be patient centric with empathy, excellent active listening and communication skills.

  • May perform simple lab procedures including strep test, urinalysis, pregnancy testing.

  • Will also have to retrieve patients from their classes/hallway or other school areas.

Skills:

Medical, Emr, Ehr, Triage, ekg, vitals, patient care, bilingual, patient information, pediatric, patient counseling, rooming patients, phlebotomy

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have high school diploma or GED

  • Must have MA Diploma or Certification

  • Must have BLS Certification

  • Phlebotomy experience preferred

  • Must be bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
