Honeywell Senior Aircraft Mechanic in Phoenix, Arizona

Join Honeywell's Flight Operations department ensuring that aircraft are certifiably airworthy by overseeing and performing regular servicing and required repairs of avionic and mechanical equipment for safe aircraft operation. You will apply knowledge of aviation, regulations and intensive technical knowledge to diagnose, fix and maintain structural, mechanical and electronic elements of the aircraft and determine repair or replacement needs. You will analyze safety practices to ensure compliance with federal regulations. You will liaison with aircraft inspectors, flight and ground staff to lead the repairs/servicing of aircraft to ensure the safety of crew and passengers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee aircraft repair and servicing

  • Inspect on-going maintenance

  • Engine and system testing

  • Troubleshoot and fix problems

  • Maintain repair logs, scheduling

  • Participate in flight testing and hanger operations

  • Implement quality and safety programs

  • Recommend repair/replacement

  • Revamp mechanical systems

  • Maintain ground support equipment

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma Airframe and Power plant (A&P) license required
