As a Senior Technical Recruiter, you will play an integral part in helping to build out the R&D team for VMware’s Cloud Infrastructure Business Group (CIBG).

VMware has embarked on the next exciting phase of our journey as a company - to deliver a multi-cloud platform for all applications.

We have an opportunity to build something truly special: the industry’s first multi-cloud IaaS/CaaS. Just as VMware innovated to deliver breakthrough customer value, first with server virtualization, then with the SDDC, now we have the opportunity to do it again with a true multi-cloud IaaS/CaaS.

What is the primary need, challenge and/or problem you will be responsible for?

  • We have aggressive growth plans across the CIBG, and we are looking to fill numerous openings that include but are not limited to Software Engineers, Product Managers, and R&D Leadership.

  • Our roles can be very challenging because we operate in an emerging domain where the talent we target can be niche, scarce, highly sought-after, and open source community centric.

  • You will be responsible for advising and partnering with our business group R&D leaders to recruit and build high performing, diverse & inclusive teams.

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

  • Full cycle technical recruitment: Requisition intake, passive candidate generation/sourcing, candidate screening, interview facilitation, candidate & stakeholder management, and offer negotiations/closing candidates.

  • Leverage market data and insights to help advise the business into making strategic hiring decisions.

  • Partner with extended TA Leadership and Operations to execute on TA related projects, programs, and initiatives.

Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

  • You will have a solid grasp of VMware and the business group’s goals & objectives, and how the Cloud Infrastructure Business Group fits into the bigger VMware story.

  • You will have a broad understanding of VMware’s business unit landscape and product portfolio, and a more thorough understanding of the landscape and product portfolio for the CIBG.

  • You will be aware of VMware’s competitors in the Cloud Infrastructure space and have the ability to articulate a value proposition that positions VMware against the competition.

  • You will be able to consistently generate qualified candidate pipelines and meet your hiring targets

  • You will provide an efficient and exceptional experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

  • You will build rapport and trust with hiring managers and support their adherence to recruiting best practices.

  • You will participate in the creation, implementation, and/or maintenance of talent acquisition projects and programs.

What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?

  • You will report directly to the Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition for the CIBG.

  • The immediate team supporting CIBG consists of 6 Recruiters, but you will work closely with and will leverage the expertise and experience of a team of 20+ including sourcing recruiters and coordinators.
