This position can be based in any US Certara office, or home based.About BaseCaseCertara is hiring a Business Development Representative to support our BaseCase software and consulting services group. BaseCase is a SaaS that helps the pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostics industries communicate the value of their products to payers and healthcare providers. Using our cloud-based platform, market access and HEOR teams in the life sciences industry can create sophisticated apps that are based on spreadsheets, such as budget impact or health outcomes models. BaseCase apps are typically used by key account managers and medical science liaisons.Job SummaryThe Inside Sales Business Development Representative role at BaseCase could be the start to your career. We offer an innovative environment where you will be provided the tools, resources and leadership to get to know BaseCase solutions and jump-start your career!ResponsibilitiesManage daily sales call activity according to defined expectations, with the purpose of influencing customers and increasing sales.Effectively and persuasively communicate with customers using effective selling, listening and negotiation skills, proper terminology and approved messaging.Generating Leads and Opportunities through outbound, strategic and targeted prospecting into life sciences companies.Own the comprehensive business-development process: cold calling / outreach, conduct email campaigns, set up customer meetings and conference calls, deliver follow-up materials, and maintain ongoing contact with warm prospects.Verify and complete required data entry in Client CRM systems, such as details of the target's responses and any follow-through actions.Strategic calling to leverage business from new and established relationshipsProspecting into both cold accounts as well as into new groups, divisions, etc. of existing customersAchieving monthly Quota of Qualified Opportunities - meetingsBe a trusted member of each account team and help define the business approach for your specific region and deliver a joint strategyBe on the forefront of evangelizing BaseCaseCollaborating with Key Account Managers and other cross functional teamsPipeline ManagementQualificationsRequired Skills/Experience:Bachelor's or Master's Degree1+ years' experience in inside sales. Sales acumen, knowledge of prospecting techniques.Previous experience working in inside sales for a 3rd party / vendor to pharma, medical device, or biotech companiesFluency in EnglishPreferred:Background in life sciences.Technology experience with CRM tools.Medical Affairs and Market Access services or SaaS experience.Complex account and territory management experience.Skills and AbilitiesExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Clear, articulate and grammatically sound speech and professional phone manner.
