Job Responsibilities:
The Contracts Manager will provide contract administration and formation support to Carrier’s supply chain management team, including direct procurement, indirect procurement, real estate, and facilities management, including contract drafting, supplier due diligence, organization, and related record-keeping.
Specifically, this person will be responsible for the following:
Provide contract negotiation and drafting support directly to Supply Chain Management category managers and other personnel assigned to manage both direct and indirect supplier relationships.
Support negotiation of supply agreements, amendments, schedules, and statements of work, including price adjustment formulas.
Actively contribute to Carrier initiatives to centralize, digitize and modernize supplier contracting through various projects.
Prepare and upload executed contracts into contract lifecycle management (CLM), including identifying and summarizing key terms for purposes of reporting.
Develop and maintain tracking, metrics, and reports to quickly and accurately communicate supply chain contracting status.
Support establishment of a “contract center of excellence” within the Supply Chain Management organization, including oversight of contract administration practices, development, and updating of standard templates, processes, and other standard work documents.
Support Carrier’s real estate and facilities management functions on specific procurement and divestiture matters, including supporting specific negotiations, due diligence, and closings.
Manage estoppel, SNDA, and certificates of insurance processing requests for Carrier’s real estate portfolio.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, risk management, quality, and EH&S representatives as needed to finalize contracts in compliance with applicable policies.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree required. At least ten (10) years of experience in a similar role supporting negotiation, execution, and management of a procurement contracting process at a large company. Experience with the Ariba CLM system is a plus.
