Sanofi Group Associate Scientist, Genomics in Orlando, Florida
In the race for the future of health – The Sanofi mRNA Center of Excellence
At Sanofi, we believe in a world in which no one suffers or dies from vaccine-preventable diseases. And while the pandemic has shaken up our industry, creating new opportunities and risks, we believe the acceleration of innovation with mRNA technology means vaccines for more people faster than before. That’s why we’re looking for bold, optimistic world-changers to join the team at our mRNA Center of Excellence. We’re investing €400m a year into the new Center, hiring a team of 400 dedicated employees for it and using it as the foundation to implement integrated end-to-end mRNA vaccine capabilities and research with R&D, digital and CMC teams.
Translate Bio, a Sanofi Company is a leading mRNA therapeutics company developing a new class of potentially transformative medicines to treat diseases caused by protein or gene dysfunction. Using our proprietary mRNA therapeutic platform (MRT), we create mRNA that encodes functional proteins. Our mRNA is delivered to the target cell where the cell’s own machinery recognizes it and translates it, restoring or augmenting protein function to treat or prevent disease.
The Biomarker Research unit in the mRNA Center of Excellence is building a world-class Genomics team and is seeking highly motivated Genomics Associate Scientists to performing experimental in vitro, preclinical and clinical exploratory studies to assess the immunogenicity, reactogenicity, and MoAs of mRNA vaccines. The successful candidate will have the ability to learn and acquire new genomic techniques and methodologies. The Genomics Associate Scientist is expected to contribute to developing analytical strategies for the identification of novel mRNA candidates and discovery of biomarkers predictive of vaccine safety and effectiveness and will to generate datasets to develop actionable hypotheses.
