Westminster Palms Assisted Living Coordinator in Orlando, Florida
Westminster Towers is a large upscale Life Plan Community and Health Center located just south of downtown Orlando. We are a church related, not-for-profit organization dedicated and committed to providing services for older adults. We are actively searching for an Assisted Living Coordinator to join our leadership team and to oversee the Assisted Living department.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
This position is responsible for supervising the Assisted Living staff; strategic planning and operations of the department by implementing cost control measures and meeting budget goals; assisting with the assessments of new residents moving from Independent Living or the outside into Residential Assisted Living; responsible for the appearance of the RAL department; participates in the Level of Care meetings; managing the day-to-day needs of the residents; communicating needs or changes to the family members; conducting family meetings related to residents; overseeing medication dispensing and handling. Ensure that proper medications inventory levels are maintained and that audits are being performed on a regular basis. Oversee monthly MORS.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in health related field. CORE training required. Must be CPR Certified. Registered Nurse (R.N.) with at least two years’ experience preferred.
Experience and Basic Knowledge: Must be familiar with long term care of the older adults and be able to function independently. Possesses the ability to speak, read and understand English. Two (2) years LTC or AL experience required.
