Lockheed Martin Quality Assurance Technician - Ocala, FL in Ocala, Florida

Description: Reviews and develops information for inspection of units, assemblies and systems based on knowledge of specifications, prints, schematics, and manufacturing process plans. Performs a variety of activities to insure accuracy and completeness of final and in-process inspection or validation methods, documentation and test processes. Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

Interprets engineering drawings, industry and military specifications and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability compliance to standards.

Uses hand tools for measuring such as calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, pin gauges etc.

Assists in the performance of First Article Inspections on detail drawing parts in accordance with AS9102. Develop and maintain subject matter expert level knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI), Production / Pilot Line Validation (PLV) and other associated program or process launch / start up procedures.

Assist in the evaluation and disposition of production documented non-conformances.

Assist in performance of process surveillance and quality management system audits.

Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks and 3 Years of experience.

Working knowledge of inspection and validation techniques, ability to read and interpret prints, requirements and related GD&T.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Strong written and oral communication skills

Ability to work independently and as a team player

This position will be located at a facility that requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.

Desired Skills:

Experienced in developing, tracking and controlling non conformances (visual and dimensional) and test anomalies, and the use of SAP non-conformance tracking QNotes.

Prior or current certifications to IPC 610, 620, and/or J-STD-001

In depth knowledge of First Article Inspections, SAE AS9102, and Product Line Validations.

Familiarity with DISCUS first article inspection software
