Premier Needle Arts Design Team Administrator in North Smithfield, Rhode Island

The Challenge and The Opportunity

As the Design Team Administrator, you will facilitate the daily workings of the design department and be an integral part of the design team.

In the first 3 months, you will:

  • Become familiar with the Berroco line of products and production schedule.

  • Assist with coordination/preparation of sample garments.

  • Assist with production of sales materials.

  • Assist with pattern support and responding to consumer emails.

  • Coordinate free model garment production.

  • Post new materials on the web site (no coding) and Ravelry.

  • Proof read company publications, including newsletters, sales and marketing materials, and patterns.

  • Fulfill designer and donation yarn requests.

  • Process invoices for the design department.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3–5 years of work experience as a department assistant, administrator, or similar role.

  • Strong organization and administrative skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.

  • Competent knitting and crochet skills.

  • Proficiency with PC’s/Macs - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Internet Browsers, Adobe Acrobat.

  • Yarn shop sales and/or teaching experience (preferred).

  • Other fiber craft experience such as weaving, macrame, etc. (preferred).
