Robert Half is currently assisting a client in search of a Network Engineer for a 6 month contract. Network Engineer will help deploy and support the core network infrastructure within this organization. You will be responsible for maintaining the existing estate alongside the Systems team and accountable for the acceptance of new network designs and infrastructure components into live support.
Location: North Hollywood, CA (must be local to LA or Las Vegas)
Remote/Onsite:95% remote - with intermittent on-site responsibilities
Hours: 40 hrs/wk; M-F; standard PST hours—Has autonomy to work at own pace
Duration: 6 month contract

Requirements
Reporting to the Director of IT, the primary responsibilities involve all aspects of installation and troubleshooting of networking hardware, software, and connectivity and maintaining existing and implementing new technology systems to support our rapidly growing fully remote workplace.
The successful candidate will possess:
Experience in designing, deploying, managing and supporting network devices and services including routers, switches and firewalls at the enterprise level
Understand the non-functional aspects of solution delivery; performance, security, and resilience
Excellent organization skills e.g. ability to prioritize and multitask, lead technical projects, and complete a project within defined timescales
Have a logical approach to diagnosing and solving problems
Drive to deliver the best, setting high standards within the organization
Work with business and technical staff, and act as a conduit between them
Requirements:
Experienced with layer 3 routing technologies (BGP, VRF, VXLAN and OSPF)
Extensive knowledge of layer 2 protocols (LACP, MLAG, Spanning Tree)
Experience managing firewalls
Experience with CLI configuration of devices running Arista and CISCO
