    The Role

    We are seeking a Data & Business Analyst for our Global Force Management, Navy Organizational Server (GFM NOS) project team. The successful candidate will work with other Data Analysts, Data Managers, and Navy Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) at US Fleet Forces Command in Norfolk in support of the Navy's application that manages planning and readiness reporting. The Data Analyst will also collaborate with the GFM NOS software development team in San Diego to execute all activities specified in the company's CMMI Level 3 certified software development process.

    As part of a Data Analysis/Management Team the Data & Business Analyst will review, analyze, and evaluate data changes and issues, and will recommend data remediation for the team.

    What You Bring to the Table

  • A Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

  • Experience in data analysis or a similar analysis discipline that requires critical thinking and researching data, analyzing and remediating data anomalies, maintaining data, and creating technical documentation.

  • Experience using MS Office Suite, including Excel, Visio, Access, or Power BI for data analysis.

  • Experience with authoritative data streams, ETL/batch processes, and troubleshooting data issues.

  • Experience in an Agile/scrum environment.

  • Knowledge of database design concepts (i.e., relational databases).

  • Working knowledge of MS SharePoint and Azure DevOps.

  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation in the form of tracking documents, data metrics, data reports and interface documentation, such as Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) or Interface Control Documents (ICDs).

  • High level of motivation, ability to work well autonomously to successfully communicate and coordinate with other Data Managers, Software Developers, and SMEs to complete their assignments.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Flexibility to support testing activities, as needed.

  • A background in the Navy's business domain and Naval organizational structure is a plus.

    Education Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in a related area and 4-7 years of related experience.
