The Opportunity | Project Engineer

Location : Newmarket, ON

Type : Full-time, Regular position

Duties & Responsibilities:

Under general direction, performs a variety of software and/or hardware engineering activities of an analysis, design or test nature. Participates on project teams and provides guidance to less experienced engineers and technical staff. Plans, conducts and may supervise research, development or installation of products and systems in conformance with engineering design and customer specification. Engineering activities support both domestic and international products/services.

  • Performs routine engineering assignments of an analysis, design or test nature requiring application of specific standard techniques and procedures.

  • Documents usable engineering data applicable to the assignment.

  • May work independently on small projects or assist more senior engineers.

  • May assist with the analyses to develop design options or recommendations and may assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications on low level projects.

  • Detailed review of technical specifications and engineering requirements.

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Engineering, Electrical preferred)

  • Project Management Certification is an asset

  • 2-3 years of related experience

  • Oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office.

  • Organization, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple opportunities and meet strict deadlines.

  • Problem solving and analytical skills

  • Project management experience

This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
