Sodexo Project Manager - Creative & Marketing in New York, New York

Do you have experience managing multiple marketing, communications & creative projects through all phases of the life cycle?

Sodexo has an exciting new opening for a Digital Marketing & Content Project Manager with our Digital Content and Marketing Teams in the North American Region. This is a virtual position with the preferred candidate residing in the Eastern Time Zone.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Digital Marketing & Content Project Manager designs andprovides accountability on transversal and segment campaign and content projects by managing expectations, aligning resources, and ensuring projects are completed within timelines and budgets. Manage engagement with and provide excellent service to internal client stakeholders and direct creative and digital specialist teams to ensure quality delivery to meet established goals and scope of multiple, concurrent projects. If digital content project delays or scope changes are anticipated, implement processes and prepare contingencies to complete tasks, figure out what’s holding up projects, communicate with project stakeholders, and ensure goals and project scope requirements are met.

The successful applicant will help lead some of our largest digital projects and create user experiences and products that drive action. Be a strategic leader and bring a digital-first perspective, to effectively identify and manage project phases and resources for excellent, engaging content that inspires action among audiences and drives results. Experience applying Agile in a marketing or creative environment is a plus - you will conduct sprint planning, refinements, standups, retrospectives, and sprint demos. You will work to develop and own project planning and management metrics to help deliver consistent delivery and value. You will continue to evolve the processes that you build and foster a culture of continuous improvement and a collaborative environment.

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage marketing, communications and creative projects through all phases of the life cycle, including project initiation, requirements, design, development, testing, implementation and post implementation review.

  • Manage projects: setup projects on internal systems, set stakeholder expectations, assign deliverables, set task priorities, and establish timelines, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, have excellent delivery to meet goals and expectations, and result in happy stakeholders.

  • Review design briefs prior to hand off to the creative or marketing team to ensure the requestor provides all necessary information.

  • Assign tasks, goals, and timelines on new tasks or project requests to appropriate resources, in content/project management platforms, based on digital expertise, timeline, and deliverables requested.

  • Coordinate and oversee digital content projects and lead a cross-functional team involving internal staff of writers, designers, digital marketing specialists, channel/platform managers, and publishers.

  • Establish, maintain and enforce deadlines for deliverables of assets and critical information from stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain solid relationships including communication regarding project details, budget, expectations, deliverables, and timelines including pro-actively providing concepts to clients, obtaining feedback and translate that feedback for the team.

  • Clearly Communicate with creative teams, production teams and marketing and internal client stakeholders to ensure scope of project is clearly defined and understood and on project status, updates, feedback, and delivery; communicate about and manage any scope-creep or delays in a timely manner.

  • Manage final asset delivery and storage to ensure they are available for global and transversal partner use.

  • Look for ways to improve our internal tools, systems, and processes to increase efficiency and impact, managing and enhancing internal documentation and suite of tools on projects

  • Lead project kick-offs, as well as project debriefs, with stakeholder teams so we can continuously improve on our work and collaboration.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have/are:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in an agency setting preferable

  • Possess strong digital project management skills, be well-organized and be able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, matrixed environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver digital projects on time, in budget, and within scope

  • Strong technical understanding and experience working with digital experiences with demonstrated ability working with designers and developers

  • Knowledge of agile principles and scrum processes

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate and build relationships with a range of stakeholders

  • Patient, strategic, solutions-focused, and able to remain calm under pressure when problems arise

  • Strong intuition and judgment – always one step ahead and able to make decisions that balance client and company needs

  • Experience working with a wide range of digital technologies: Content Management Systems (CMSs), CRMs, digital analytics tools

  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines at once bringing professional, strong time management, and organizational skills.
