Description/Job Summary The Senior Manager of Strategy and Planning will support the firm's Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will be responsible for coordinating business activities for the COO. The Senior Manager will develop a deep understanding of the firm, learn how to navigate a complex / highly-matrixed organization, and collaborate extensively with senior partners, chiefs, regional office directors and others. The Senior Manager will report directly to the COO. The role will be based in New York. The ideal candidate will be an independent self-starter with strong analytical and organizational skills, exhibit excellent judgement, and have an unwavering commitment to discretion (given exposure to highly confidential information). Responsibilities/Duties * Organize, prioritize and assist the COO with the execution of strategic firm projects * Lead cross-functional / regional projects (e.g., develop / enhance the firm's business continuity plan, annual business planning, outsourcing / offshoring work assessment) * Be a strategic advisor and confidant to the COO * Assist the COO with the development of management and executive presentations * Develop and manage communications on behalf of the COO * Ensure the COO is well-prepared for meetings, both internally and externally * Coordinate operating cadence for various leadership team meetings (e.g., Chiefs, Directors), including developing meeting agendas, attending meetings and tracking follow-ups * Provide analytical support as needed * Assist with adhoc / special projects * Oversight for the daily operations of the office of the COO Required Skills * Strong written / verbal communication skills * Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of the firm * Highly motivated self-starter, strong attention to detail, team oriented and organized * Skilled at developing PowerPoint presentations * Strong analytical skills, with ability to refine and summarize data in an effective matter * Experience advising / supporting executives through decision making process * Innovative and creative approach to solving problems * Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. * Ability to work effectively in diverse, multi-cultural, fast-paced, and fluid environments Required Experience * 7+ years of professional work experience, preferably in consulting, human resources, operations, or business administration Required Education * Bachelor's degree required
