Position Summary

Reporting to the Managing Editor within the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center (HICCC) Office of Communications, this position will oversee all aspects of digital marketing and content for the HICCC. The Digital Marketing Associate will work to promote the HICCC through increasing traffic on our website, using social media channels to reach international audiences, and leading email marketing campaigns. This position is a great opportunity for someone who is a self-starter and is interested in shaping and owning a digital marketing strategy for a growing team.

Responsibilities

Social media

  • Create, schedule, and publish original social media content across all HICCC social channels, including (and not limited to) Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter

  • Work with HICCC communications and editorial team to recommend, develop, and implement social media campaigns (organic and paid)

  • Manage promotion of HICCC events through social channels

  • Grow followers and engagement on all social channels

  • Strategically develop additional social channels

  • Recommend, develop, and implement PPC campaigns in strategically important areas

  • Track, report, and analyze social media channel analytics

Web

  • Manage digital content on HICCC website, including developing new content and updating existing content

  • Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine optimization

  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization

  • Work with editorial team to drive SEO in content creation and content programming

  • Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations

  • Track, report and analyze website analytics

  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.

  • Recommend, develop, and implement PPC campaigns in strategically important areas

Email marketing

  • Manage existing internal email communications to HICCC members

  • Work with HICCC communications team, CUIMC development team, NewYork-Presbyterian marketing team, and others to develop and implement new email campaigns to external stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience plus 3 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degrees in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or Business preferred but all majors are encouraged to apply.

Other Requirements

  • 1+ years experience of Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and social media marketing for businesses.

  • 1+ years of experience with social media scheduling tools such as Hootsuite.
