Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions.

Middle Market Banking

We have a exciting opportunity for a Division Executive (Hospitality Finance Leader) with our Middle Market Banking Sales, Underwriting, Credit and Business Operations Group responsible for Opco & Franchisor, Restaurant Franchises, Real Estate&Convenience Stores and Hotels. This is a national position covering our US footprint. Senior leader responsible for strategically leading and managing a Commercial Banking division within a Commercial Banking region or specialty business, with a primary goal of providing holistic solutions for our customers, focusing on building long-term customer relationships and deepening those relationships through strategic thought leadership, strong product knowledge flawless deal execution and superior customer service across the spectrum of business banking and middle market customers. Serves as executive advocate and thought leader and build relationships with the largest customers, prominent financial advisors and key market influencers. Drive resource allocation processes ensuring appropriate expense management and efficiency ratios. Directly manages Commercial Banking Market Executives as well as key divisionwide support functions such as sales management, credit/portfolio management and relationship support. Represent Wells Fargo in the community through board participation and other leadership roles.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your employees feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.

  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented employees, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing employees, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of management experience

  • 12+ years of commercial banking relationship management experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Leadership experience including mentoring and coaching

  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in business administration, economics, accounting, finance, or other business related field

  • Sales and marketing leadership experience

  • Ability to develop and execute market strategies, and goals

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of underwriting commercial credit

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of credit policy, compliance, and underwriting requirements

  • Demonstrated change leadership experience

  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of underwriting commercial and corporate credit with demonstrated experience collaborating with investment banking teams
