POSITION SUMMARYITS is looking for a Director, Technology Services with strong IT Operations and Support management experience and hands-on leadership. A proven background in managing infrastructure and business applications using technology best practices is essential.
The Director, Technology Services will lead the planning and implementation of technologies and will oversee the daily activities of all IT functions. The scope of responsibilities includes business applications, cloud infrastructure, telecom services, network, endpoints, security, and managed services providers in support of ITS, its affiliates, and the central and remote users.
The right candidate will have the capability to grow with the organization and meet evolving business needs as the company continues to expand and scale its business. He or she will work with the business leaders to plan and implement business-enabling technology solutions based on the company’s growth strategy.
Technology Planning, Implementation and Management
Work with key stakeholders to deploy and manage IT technology in support of business needs
Manage technologies and systems effectively to increase the operational efficiency of the business
Plan and manage projects to fulfill business requirements. Apply project management disciplines on the IT team to prioritize, plan, analyze, and develop solutions
Manage suppliers and managed services providers to deliver seamless services and support for the business stakeholders and end users
Plan and manage technology budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness of technology spend vs benefits
Analyze and implement solutions to integrate existing systems and data to ensure effective processes and visibility and accuracy of data
Develop and enforce technology policies and procedures based on industry standards. Ensure proper documentation and adherence to established processes and guidelines
Service Delivery and Support
Deploy and manage streamlined IT services to effectively support ITS Group’s employees and users
Lead and coordinate Change and Release Management of applications and technology infrastructure based on operational best practices
Manage end-user equipment, software, and support. Plan and manage technology inventory and supplies
Monitor and ensure the proper maintenance and support for business applications, application integrations, infrastructure, network, and the overall technology environment
Ensure 24/7 continuity of the technology environment. Lead the Incident Management process to promptly restore interrupted services with vendor escalation where necessary
Define and agree on Service Level Expectations for IT services and manage towards the defined objectives
Security and Business Continuity
Own and ensure the continuity, integrity, and recovery of services related to ITS Group infrastructure, cloud, and operations
Protect the company’s assets by planning and implementing appropriate security measures and services
Implement solutions to protect the company’s systems against viruses, threats, and vulnerabilities
Ensure proper and regular patching of systems, databases, equipment and other technology components
Manage the lifecycle of cloud applications and ensure redundancy and data protection is in place
Implement Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions to meet recovery objectives as defined by management
Bachelor's degree in business management, computer science, or related field
3-5+ years of demonstrated experience in a technology management role; ability to develop and lead strong technical as well as service-oriented teams, or 10+ years in progressively more advanced and technically relevant job experience.
Strong understanding of technologies, business practices, and management principles
Ability to mentor team members and mature the IT team as an internal technology service provider
Ability to plan and deliver enterprise level systems & applications
Strong focus on customer service
Experience in IT Service and Process Management
Proven experience in IT Security
Strong experience in the management of Cisco Meraki, Microsoft O365, Ninja RMM, IT Glue, and Cloud technologies.
Desired experience with Team Software (www.teamsoftware.com)
Thorough knowledge of Windows concepts and environments, especially O365, Domains, Active Directory, and its concepts, and the interaction between hardware, operating systems, network, and application software. Mac and Linux experience is a plus
Experience with Help Desk function, ITSM tools, and ticketing systems solutions
Experience in establishing effective backup and disaster recovery solutions
Demonstrated vendor management experience
