What You Will Do
As an Associate with Ascension-WI, you will have the opportunity to, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician, providedirect care to patients in the Emergency Department.
Performs urgent and emergent care procedures including EKGs, wound care, vital sign monitoring, IV initiation and codes.
Monitors patient condition and performs data collection. Communicates findings and patient condition to primary Registered Nurse (RN).
Maintains accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Assists with the mobilization, ambulation and transport of patients.
What You Will Need
CertifiedBLS Providercredentialed from theAmerican Heart Association (AHA)obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
One or more of the following:
LicensedEmergency Medical Techcredentialed from thestate of Wisconsinobtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work within a hospital setting.
HS or Equivalent
High School Diploma or equivalent, and completion of CNA or EMT program required
- Minimum one (1) year experience required.
