The HR Specialist responsibilities include administering the full scope of HR-related processes throughout the employee lifecycle, benefits, onboarding and offboarding, as well as leading on the handling of day-to-day employment-related issues.About Us: Since 1980, Temporary Solutions has been a preferred partner for Staffing in Recruiting to our clients in DC, Maryland and Virginia. Relocation Assistance will be provided, if necessary. Responsibilities would include:Responsible for the day-to-day administration of employee benefits and leaves of absenceServes as a main point of contact for employees regarding leaves of absence and related processesRegularly reviews and recommends improvements and revisions to Cooperative employment policiesMaintains and organizes all employee-facing resources, ensuring forms, policies and resources are up-to-date and easily accessible by employeesDevelops, maintains and updates the employee handbookGenerates and administers semimonthly payroll for all employeesCoordinates recruiting and screening activities for open employment positionsCoordinates onboarding activities for new employeesProvides employment law expertise and advice to senior management teamWorks to resolve employee relations problems, including conducting investigations, communicating with employees, and acting as a liaison to senior managementWorks in coordination with senior management team to update triennial wage and salary planMonitors market-based employment rates for any mid-plan adjustmentsDevelops solutions to HR-related problems, and generates recommended solutionsCoordinates with NRECA and third-party insurance brokers to develop renewal recommendations for life, health, dental and vision policiesCreates and updates position descriptions (PD) for all positions in the CooperativeMaintains up-to-date PDs in each employees fileContributes to organizational goals and strategic prioritiesPerforms other duties as assigned in order to fulfill the objectives of the company and this positionQualifications:Bachelors degree in HR, business or related fieldMinimum five years experience at the HR Specialist level or working within an HR department. Exceptionally detail-oriented and possesses outstanding organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills.
