Raytheon Technologies Principal Specialist FP&A (Hybrid) in McKinney, Texas

A $250M in annual revenue Product Area Directorate (PAD), Airborne Multimode Radars, is seeking a Principal Financial Specialist to join our team FP&A Team. This is an opportunity for an experienced analyst to demonstrate their skill set while growing their network in multiple levels of Finance Leadership.

In this role, you will expect to lead FP&A reporting & analysis, interfacing with the Product Line FP&A leads to drive deadlines & accountability, and monitoring variance analysis and reporting. This individual will collaborate with several FP&A peers and the PAD Finance Director & FP&A Manager to monitor & update Short Range Outlook Risks and Opportunities, monthly forecast updates, annual operating plan development, and long range planning.

The individual must be comfortable working closely with Finance and Program Leadership. This position requires an individual who possesses overall business knowledge, excellent communication & relationship building skills, and is able to support (and train) more junior finance peers in day to day responsibilities.

Typically Required Skills:

•Typically requires 5 years of related experience

•Ability to meet critical deadlines and develop reports to drive solutions and process improvements

•Creative problem solving skills; individual will need to be comfortable working through complex process and systems changes

•Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively lead meetings

•Work independently under limited supervision. Ability to contribute to the successful completion of major projects or processes

•Demonstrated strong mathematical and analytical skills

•Experience training junior financial analysts

Desired Skills:

•Defense industry experience

•Program Controls experience

Required Education (including Major):

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.

Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
