The community you’ll be caring for:

Clay County has relied on AdventHealth Manchester, formerly Manchester Memorial Hospital, in Kentucky since 1917. Today, our hospital in Clay County serves more than 60,000 patients every year, while staying true to our community-focused, patient-centric model of care.

The role you’ll contribute:

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the obstetrics/gynecology and newborn nursery setting. Communicates with physician’s/team leaders/coworkers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

  • Provide Nursing Care/Skills to Antepartum, Labor, Postpartum and Nursery Patients

  • Assess Patients and Respond to Changes in Patient Condition

  • Provide Oversight to OB Staff Related to Patient Care Assignments

  • Manage Emergency Patient Situations


The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:


  • Care of Antepartum Patient

  • Care of Labor and Delivery Patient

  • Care of Postpartum Patient

  • Care of Nursery Patient

  • Care of Outpatient


  • Two-year associate degree in nursing

  • Successfully completes basic arrhythmia interpretation

  • Maintains professional licensure of a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky

  • Maintains CPR

  • Maintains NRP within 6 months of hire date

  • Maintains ACLS within 6 months of hire date

  • Successfully completes basic arrhythmia interpretation during orientation phase
