Robert Half Senior Accountant in Madison, Wisconsin
Robert Half is continually seeking Senior Accountants for our clients located throughout the greater Madison and Janesville/Beloit markets. Candidates for Senior Accountant positions should possess solid communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills.
Responsibilities for a Senior Accountant may include:
Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
Preparing financial statements
Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
Assisting with budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses
Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules
Assisting with initial control evaluations
Supervising accounting staff
Assisting other departments as needed
Financial and profitability analysis
Complex bank and major account reconciliations
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of experience in accounting
CPA certification preferred
Exposure to multiple accounting software and industries preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel
