Aerotek Controls Engineer in Louisville, Kentucky

Now hiring for a Controls Engineer with automotive industry experience! GREAT OPPORTUNITY to get on board with a top OEM and one of the largest employers in Louisville, KY!


  • Use Vis Plant monitoring software to review cycle times of automation, review and follow up automation project's and installations

  • Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other automation problems

  • Update program backups for automation

  • Program new installations of Body tooling and conveyor systems

  • Reprogram automation for engineering changes and improvements

  • Coordinate automation campaigns


  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls (RSLogix)

  • Electrical experience (electrician or technician)

  • Allen Bradley Panel View use/programming AB Servo and AB VFD drives

  • Familiarity with VFDs, Armor starts, encoders, network/Ethernet controls

  • Strong problem solving skills, including 8Ds, FMEAs, and DMAICs

  • Fanuc robot experience

  • Kawasaki programming, RS Logics, Microsoft office

  • Strong understanding of conveyors system programming and body tooling techniques, in addition to networking understanding, DH+, Ethernet, remote IO

  • Lean Tools 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping

  • B.S. Engineering preferred
